The Barnum Festival, a 68-year tradition that celebrates the life and times of P.T. Barnum ' showman, entrepreneur, philanthropist and the most famous Mayor of Bridgeport, is looking for talented college students to fill internship positions with the 2016 Barnum Festival.

Qualified applicants should be rising juniors, or in their junior or senior year who are majoring in Marketing, Business, Communications or Liberal Arts. The interns will be responsible for a wide range of responsibilities including event management and staffing, writing press releases and web copy, producing copy for brochures, postcards and a wide range of social media.

Candidates should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and organizational skills, as well as proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, and must have their own transportation.

To be considered, applicants must provide a resume, and three (3) writing samples, which should include all or some of the following: a sample press release, product pitch and a marketing/communications plan.
