2012 Barnum Festival

The Barnum Festival brings entertainment, culture, and diversity to the communities of the greater Bridgeport area.  Each year a new Ringmaster is chosen to lead the event that stretches from May to July 4th.  By his/her side are the Royal Court, Tom Thumb, and Lavinia Warren winners to engage the people of greater Bridgeport and build community spirit through the various events offered at the Festival.  The events of the Barnum Festival is full of exciting moments and are sure to create long lasting memories.

Thousands and thousands of people visit the city of Bridgeport each year to partake in the exciting events the Festival’s executives and volunteers have organized.  The Barnum Festival showcases all that is good about Bridgeport as well as the surrounding towns.  In true P.T. Barnum fashion, the events of the festival are designed to bring joy and happiness to the community.  With such events as the Kentucky Derby, Ringmaster’s Ball, Wing Ding Parade for Kids, and the Barnum Festival Great Street Parade there is entertainment and enjoyment for all ages.
